About the Artist
Norman Kaupang received his B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota and pursued additional study at the Minneapolis School of Art. He has worked in design and related areas including graphic design, dimensional design, art direction, graphic production, and product management. In addition to Minnesota his career has led him to Nashville, Chicago, and Los Angeles and to several firms, including Josten’s and Henri Fayette, a division of Hallmark. He established Kaupang Design and has completed design projects for numerous clients. For many years he designed a line of contemporary worship folders used in churches across the country. In addition to graphics, Kaupang Design is involved in creating liturgical items and architectural sculpture for churches and other sites. Norman has taught courses in design, sculpture, typography, and art history at Northwestern College in St, Paul, MN. and is a Professor Emeritus of that college.
